22 June 2018 Special visit to HKMA

Jun 22, 2018

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of HK.  The effectiveness of authorized institutions’ anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) controls remain a key supervisory focus of the HKMA to support the jurisdiction-wide efforts in addressing the relevant risks to the banking system.  In order to get a better understanding of the recent developments, AWAHK has organized a visit to the HKMA focusing on its AML/CFT work with authorized institutions.

We have arranged to meet Carmen Chu, JP, Executive Director (Enforcement and AML) of the HKMA and she will share with us on how the HKMA manages the increasing challenges on these areas.
