Our heartfelt condolences to all who lost loved ones in the Tai Po fire!
Association of Women Accountants Hong Kong (AWAHK) - Call for Support: Taipo Fire Relief Efforts
The fire in Taipo has left thousands of families and numerous residents without homes, a situation that demands our immediate attention and collective support. The Association of Women Accountants Hong Kong (AWAHK) strongly endorses the community relief efforts and urgently calls upon all corporations and institutions to provide assistance to those affected.
The government has established the "Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Assistance Fund" to provide financial support to affected residents, distributing an immediate relief grant of HK$10,000 to each affected household.
A dedicated account has been set up at Bank of China (Hong Kong) (Account No.: HKD : 012-875-2-1901597, RMB & Other Currencies : 012-875-2-190160-7 ) to accept public donations for post-disaster assistance efforts. The funds will be used to assist affected residents.
In addition, a Resource Coordination Group, comprising key members from social service agencies in the Taipo district, has been established and is now operational to manage and distribute aid effectively. To ensure support reaches the victims in a coordinated and timely manner, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) is now gathering donation pledges from companies and groups.
If your organization is able to contribute through financial donations or essential supplies, you can register your interest via the form provided by HKCSS below. The HKCSS will follow up with you promptly.
For any inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact the HKCSS directly at Email: stake.engage@hkcss.org.hk
In times of adversity, community solidarity is our greatest strength. We are confident that with your generous support, we can provide tangible help to the affected residents and bring stability and comfort to the community. 🙏💪
